Welcome to the Woodhurst Website Newsletter

Firstly, let me apologise for "cold calling" with this email. Anyone who has emailed me over the past three years from the village, or who has signed up to the Website Forum (and left an email address) has been included.

If you do not wish to receive these emails, please follow the link at the bottom of the page and accept my apologies for disturbing your day.

This is the first of what will hopefully be a regular email newsletter. This will hopefully tell the village what is on the website, plus any other useful information I can add.
Also, it's a good way of telling me what you want to see on the website and from this newsletter.

Fete and Scarecrow Festival/Open Gardens/Cream Teas

Many thanks to all the people who put in a huge amount of effort over the past weekend in getting the Fete set up and taken down, and then did it all again on Sunday for the cream teas.
The Open Gardens were a great success, with around 40 people wandering around some of the gardens in the village. Many Thanks to Sally, Avril & James, Gary & Sharron, Julie & Robert, Annie & Peter and Annabel & Neil for opening their gardens. I've already been told that we won't be opening our garden again next year ! Thanks to Sara for allowing me to show the garden off this year !
The Cream teas went down a treat at Fullards Farm, judging by the number of people that were QUEUEING for tables ! Massive Thanks again to Neil and Annabel for hosting this and another big thank you to all the volunteers taking orders and working in the kitchen, At one stage in the moening it was like an episode of "Jam and Jerusalem" in the Fullards Kitchen. Thanks as always to Shirley who sold programmes for the open gardens at the Church.

Blue Bin Collection Dates Have Changed

As of this week, Blue Bins will be collected on Wednesdays. The Council insist they wrote to every resident to let us know this, but judging by the amount of Blue Bins out today, that is clearly not the case. The website has been updated with the new dates
