The Great Digital Debate

Many Thanks to those of you that have taken the time to fill out and return the Digital Debate survey that was delivered with the latest newsletter. Although the date has passed for returns, HDC will still be interested in the responses (as will I), so please still send them in or return them to me in the Long Barn. I am attending a seminar with OfCom in October and top of the list of things I want to discuss is the reliability and speed of broadband connections in the village - for those that are lucky enough to win the 'door number lottery' that seems to decide whether or not you get that elusive broadband connection.

Help our Church

Don't forget that this Saturday from 9.30 you can help out with a tidy-up of the back of the Churchyard, which will hopefully make room for more burial spaces. Bring along spades, wheelbarrows and any other tools. Contact Andrea Marr (822417) or Shirley Firth (822958) and let them know if you can help.

At the same time, Sally Barrett will be holding the first Monthly Church Open Morning between 10.30 and 12 noon. So if you can't lend a hand in the churchyard, why not come down and enjoy a coffee in our beautiful Church?

Help our Church without leaving the house

If you are thinking of buying Christmas presents from Amazon this year, why not enter the Amazon site via the link on the Woodhurst Website ? That way, a commission from each purchase is paid to the Church. This is valid for any Amazon purchase and not just those that are featured in our website advert.

If you have Amazon as a favourite link on your computer, please replace it with a new one by clicking on the Amazon Logo above. This will take you straight to the Amazon site using the Woodhurst Website Associate code. You can then add the page to your favourites

More selected 'adverts' will be added to the website shortly, which will raise money for the Church.

The Woodhurst Website...recent changes

I am continuing to improve (I hope) the website and we now have a revamped 'Local Links' page. This also gives you the opportunity to add your own links.

The Gallery has also grown recently with some older pictures of the village being added as well as pictures from the 'great balloon launch' at the weekend. As always, I am grateful for any pictures that you may have taken, either by email, on disk, or by upload to an Internet picture site (eg Kodak, flickr, yahoo)where you can send me a link. I'm also happy to scan pictures in.

Thank you for your time, and don't forget to visit www.woodhurst-cambs.com
